Donnie Walsh Court Dedication

About Photo Video Media

On Nov 19, 2013, Fordham Prep officially dedicated and named its newly renovated basketball court the Donnie Walsh Court.

Located in the Higgins Gym, the Donnie Walsh Court was nicknamed "The Pit" through a contest directed by the Fordham Prep Student Government. It is the home court of the Fordham Prep Rams basketball team. It also hosts other athletic team games and school events.

The court's name honors Donnie Walsh '58, consultant to the Indiana Pacers. Donnie was chosen to receive this honor by his fellow Fordham Prep basketball alumni. In the Higgins Gym, a plaque recognizes Donnie's contributions as an outstanding student-athlete, a college and NBA coach and executive, a civic leader and a true man for others.
