CLASS OF 2020 SENIOR EVENTS AND GRADUATION COMMENCEMENT
Biltmore Tuxedo will be in the Hall of Honor on Tuesday, March 24 and Thursday, April 2 to measure seniors for their tuxedos. The tuxedo (white dinner jacket, black tuxedo pants, and maroon bow tie) is already paid for. You will be required to provide a plain white dress shirt (no tuxedo shirts) and black dress shoes.
Professional photographers will record all the graduates at graduation. A link will be provided for live streaming for those that cannot attend the ceremony. Additionally, the entire ceremony will be filmed, and the video will be posted on our website shortly after graduation.
SENIOR/ALUMNI BREAKFAST - TUESDAY, APRIL 21
The Senior/Alumni Breakfast will be held at the New York Botanical Garden’s Terrace Room on Tuesday, April 21. Twenty to thirty distinguished alumni will be present and serve as hosts to the graduation class. School dress (jacket and tie) is required and attendance is mandatory. Seniors should arrive no later than 8:15 am. The breakfast begins at 8:30 am sharp. Due to space limitations, this event is for Prep seniors only; it does not include other family members. Graduation tickets/announcements (a packet of four) will be distributed at the end of the breakfast.
SENIOR AWARDS NIGHT: LITURGY AND AWARDS PRESENTATIONS - TUESDAY, MAY 19
The Senior Liturgy and Awards Presentations will take place on Tuesday, May 19. Mass will begin at 5:30 pm in the University Church and will be followed by an awards assembly in the Leonard Theatre. Attendance is mandatory for all seniors. The Senior Awards Night is the ceremony when we bestow honors and recognize the accomplishments of the senior class. The awards ceremony concludes by 8 pm. A light reception of coffee and cookies will follow the ceremony.
SENIOR FIELD DAY AND BARBECUE - TBD
The date of the field day and barbecue will be scheduled soon by the Administration and Student Government. Dress is casual. More details to follow.
SENIOR PROM - THURSDAY, MAY 21
The Senior Prom will be held at Glen Island Harbour Club on Thursday, May 21. Details can be found here.
GRADUATION REHEARSAL - WEDNESDAY, MAY 27
All seniors must assemble in the Commons for rehearsal at 9:00 am on Wednesday, May 27. Dress is casual. Rehearsal ends at about 11:30 am-12:00 pm. Seniors will pick up their tuxedos after rehearsal.
GRADUATION CEREMONY - WEDNESDAY, MAY 27
The graduation commencement ceremony is held in the Fordham University Rose Hill Gymnasium. The ceremony will begin at 4:30 pm sharp on Wednesday, May 27. The ceremony lasts approximately 90 minutes.
Seniors must report to the Prep in tuxedos by 3:45 pm. Please remind your guests that despite the gymnasium setting, this is the graduation ceremony of one of the most prestigious metropolitan area high schools. Appropriate dress and behavior is expected. Father and grandfather alumni who want photographs with a graduating senior should be at the Prep no later than 3:30 pm. Diplomas will be available for pick up in the lobby of Fordham University’s McGinley Center immediately following graduation.
Tuxedos should be returned on hangers to the theater stage no later than the day after graduation, Thursday, May 28.

1. When are students measured for their tuxedoes?
Biltmore Tuxedo has been contracted to supply the tuxedos and measure students at Fordham Prep. Seniors will be measured for tuxedos on Tuesday, March 24 and Thursday, April 2
2. Is my tuxedo paid for?
a. Your son’s tuxedo is already paid for, and consists of a white dinner jacket, black tuxedo pants and maroon bow tie.
b. You will be required to provide a plain white dress shirt (no tuxedo shirts) and black dress shoes to complete the dress for graduation.
3. When do I pick up and return up my tuxedo?
a. Tuxedos are picked up at Fordham Prep after the graduation rehearsal.
b. Tuxedos should be returned on hangars to the Theatre no later than Thursday, May 28. Please do not remove the labels found inside, so you can be credited with returning your tuxedo.
There is a $150 charge for unreturned tuxedos.
4. When is rehearsal?
Rehearsal is conducted on the morning of graduation, Wednesday, May 27 at 9:00 am. Seniors should assemble in the Commons. Rehearsal is generally over by 11:30 am-12:00 pm. Dress is casual.
5. When and where is the graduation ceremony?
Graduation for the Class of 2020 is Wednesday, May 27 at 4:30 pm at Fordham University Rose Hill Gymnasium. Doors open at 3:15 pm.
6. How long is the graduation ceremony?
The graduation ceremony is approximately 90 minutes. Please allow time to leave the gymnasium, return to the parking garage and exit the garage when making plans for after the graduation ceremony.
7. How many tickets will I receive for the graduation?
a. A packet of four tickets will be distributed to each senior at the end of the Senior/Alumni Breakfast on Tuesday, April 21.
b. Extra tickets should be returned to Mrs. Porco.
8. How do I request additional tickets?
a. Please do not request additional tickets until after May 1. Seating is limited. Graduation is primarily for family and we ask that you appropriately restrict tickets.
b. Additional tickets must be requested in writing from through email@example.com.
9. Is the graduation venue handicap accessible?
Yes, the Rose Hill Gymnasium is handicap accessible. If someone with a physical disability is accompanying your group to the ceremonies, enter the campus through the main entrance on Southern (Kazimiroff) Boulevard, across from the New York Botanical Garden. Please inform the guard at the entrance, and you will be directed to the parking garage where there will be a golf cart tram station. The trams can hold a foldable wheelchair. Reservations are not required for the trams, and all members of your party are welcome to ride the carts. People needing special assistance should be dropped off at the tram station while the rest of your group parks. Since parking and ceremony seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis, we recommend that you arrive early.

10. Where can I park?
Parking is free at the Fordham University Garage on the day of graduation. Cars will not be allowed on campus. Please note: the walk from the parking garage to the gymnasium is about five to ten minutes. Please give yourself ample time to walk from the garage to the Rose Hill Gymnasium.
11. What are the directions to campus?

12. Where can students pick up their diplomas.
Diplomas should be picked up in the lobby of the McGinley Center, immediately following the graduation ceremony. The Center is adjacent to the gymnasium.
