Upcoming fordham prep events
Throughout the year, Fordham Prep will host a variety of events for alumni, current parents, alumni parents, faculty & staff, and friends to bring together the Fordham Prep community.
Wednesday, January 16 at 7 pm
Faith on Tap
Our Faith Tap program brings together parents, faculty and alumni for a conversation about a contemporary faith issue and for a drink or two. It is an opportunity to meet new people and build community, as well as to share our heritage and broaden our understanding of contemporary faith issues. The format of a typical evening includes a brief presentation from a panel of speakers and time for questions and discussion, after which everyone is free to stay for more beer, wine, food and conversation.
This year’s Faith on Tap, co-sponsored by the Father’s Club and Office of Mission and Identity, will take place at JC Fogarty’s in Bronxville.
SaturDAY, JANUARY 26 AT 6-10 PM
Matteo Ricci, SJ was an Italian Jesuit priest and one of the founding figures of the Jesuit China missions.
The secret of Ricci’s success was his ability to go beyond cultural barriers and befriend people of another race and religion. His friend Feng Yingjing's remark brings out the spirit of this great missionary. “He treated the affairs of our fathers as if they were his own and our fathers in turn treated his as if they were ours.”
Join us for food and fellowship as we honor and celebrate members of our community committed to causes of diversity and inclusion.
$15 per person
The evening will feature multi-ethnic foods, including: Caribbean and European dishes. Students and guests will perform salsa dancing, gospel singing and poetry reading.
The contribution of faculty and students will be recognized.
