BC High/Riverview/Fordham Prep

Companions in Formation Exchange Program

This collaborative program between Boston College High School, Fordham Prep and Riverview College includes an academic experience at Riverview, ample opportunities to explore and discover the dynamic city of Sydney, and a 5-day long service experience. BC High and Fordham Prep students will truly feel a part of the Australian culture as they stay with host families from Riverview throughout the majority of their Australian experience.

Host Family Experience
Because cultural immersion is such an important part of our exchange program, and in an effort to keep our cost reasonable, students will stay with a host family during this program. Students who participate in an international program and host an exchange student in their homes have the most fulfilling experience. For this reason, it is the expectation of all students who travel to Sydney to serve as a host family in September 2019 for Riverview’s reciprocal visit. Whenever possible, BC High and Fordham students will host the student they lived with in Sydney. Students from St. Ignatius’ Riverview will arrive in late September and stay for 10 days. Because these students will split time between Boston and New York, host families will be asked to strongly consider hosting two students during their stay in both cities.
