Great Ignatian Challenge Launches
Posted 11/04/2019 12:20PM
The race is on! Fordham Prep, along with six other Jesuit schools in four states, officially launched The Great Ignatian Challenge, our annual Thanksgiving food drive, to raise hunger awareness in our communities, collect as much food as we can for our hungry neighbors, and win money towards tuition assistance for our students in need thanks to a generous donor. We must raise 26,000 food items, but the more food we raise the greater we will do in the Challenge, helping even more people need!
Now in its fourth year, the Great Ignatian Challenge is a friendly but spirited competition that has distributed nearly 150 tons of food to local food banks and pantries– or enough to feed 74,000 people – since its inception. The Challenge runs from November 4 – 26, 2019.

In addition to Fordham Prep, the participating schools are Fairfield College Preparatory School, Loyola SchoolRegis High School Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School (Philadelphia, PA), Saint Peter’s Prep, and Xavier High School.
