FP Students Named AP Scholars

During May 2019, 400 Fordham Prep students took 745 AP exams - 300 students scored 3 or higher (75%). Of the 300 students, 108 were named AP Scholars - 75 from the Class of 2019 and 33 from the Class of 2020.

This year's National AP Scholars are Lucas Chu '19, John Tenney '19, and Andrew Wetty '19.  Declan Wicks '19 merited the AP International Diploma. These designations are in addition to the four graduates receiving AP Scholar with Distinction this year as well.

AP Scholar - Granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams

AP Scholar with Honor - Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams

AP Scholar with Distinction - Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams

National AP Scholar - Granted to students in the United States who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams

AP International Diploma - Awarded to students who display exceptional achievement across a variety of disciplines.
