Ignatian Heritage Week 2021: Grandeur of God, Care for our Common Home
After a two-year discernment process, in 2019, Fr. Arturo Sosa, SJ, Superior General of the Society of Jesus, approved four new Apostolic Preferences that would guide the work of the Jesuits for the next ten years. The fourth preference is Caring for Our Common Home. The society calls on all Jesuit Institutions to collaborate for the protection and renewal of God’s creation.
During this year’s Ignatian Heritage Week, January 25-30, we highlight how Jesuit institutions continue to collaborate for the care of creation and promotion of Environmental Justice.
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning-the sixth day.
- Genesis 1:31
