Submit Your Report Cards

Applicants must submit a copy of their final report card from seventh grade and the first marking period of eighth grade to the Admissions Office.

Applicants attending a Catholic grammar school in the Archdiocese of New York or Diocese of Brooklyn who takes the TACHS exam:
- Catholic schools in these dioceses submit grades on the applicant's behalf to his three high school choices. Please do not submit your grades on your own if you attend a Catholic school in one of these diocese.
Applicants attending a public or private grammar school: please request that your current school send copies of your report cards to Fordham Prep's Admissions Office using our current Records Release Form found below.

Take a Standardized Admissions Exam

Fordham Prep accepts results from the following exams for admissions purposes: TACHS, ISEE, HSPT, and SSAT.

Applicants Sitting for the ISEE or SSAT:
- please email your score sheet to admissions@fordhamprep.org
Applicants Sitting for the TACHS:
- Please list Fordham Prep as one of your three choices. It does not matter where you list Fordham Prep; any of the three choices is acceptable and has no bearing on admission or financial aid.
- Fordham Prep's TACHS code is 113.
- For more information on the TACHS please visit tachsinfo.com.
Applicants Sitting for the HSPT:
- Only those who sit for the High School Placement Test (HSPT) will be considered for a Merit Based Scholarship. For more information about how to register for the HSPT, please click here

Submit Financial Aid Application

A financial aid application is not required to be considered for admission

If you are applying for financial aid, please click here for instructions to submit the FACTS Application by December 4, 2026.
Applications submitted after the deadline may not be considered for financial aid.

Incoming Freshman Decision Process

All admission decisions will be communicated via email on Wednesday, January 20, 2027.
Accepted students are invited to join us on Wednesday, February 10, 2027 for Accepted Students Night.
Enrollment deadline is Wednesday, March 10, 2027.

How to Apply to Fordham Prep as a Transfer Student

Fordham Prep accepts transfers into sophomore and junior year only. Fordham Prep does not accept transfers into senior year.

Applications for Fall 2027 will open February 1, 2027. If you are interested in discussing your transfer candidacy further, please contact the Admissions Office at admissions@fordhamprep.org.

Transfer Decision Process

Once the online application and all items have been received, they will be reviewed by our Transfer Committee. If approved, the applicant will be invited to sit for an interview before the committee makes its final decision.

Transfer applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Higher Achievement Program for Students Entering 8th Grade

The Higher Achievement Program (HAP) is a unique Jesuit School program offered only to boys the summer before entering eighth-grade. It is a unique experience for motivated young students ready to challenge themselves, explore new interests, and get a head start on the exciting year ahead. The program combines academics, athletics, and creative enrichment activities.
