Individualized Honors Program
At Fordham Prep, we do not rely on old models of rigid "tracking". We have high expectations for all admitted students and believe in earned access. Our Individualized Honors Program focuses on every student’s talents and gifts, allowing each student to create a schedule that reflects his unique skills and academic goals.
With the guidance of dedicated school counselors, mentors, and faculty, our students are given the space to find their passions and the structure to turn them into a reality.
All honors, advanced placement, and college courses are open to any student who qualifies, as long as they meet defined requirements.
Students have opportunities to advance at various points during their tenure at Fordham Prep at the level that is best for them:
Honors Courses
Strengthening Academic Confidence
Include skills gained and outcomes: i.e. more rigorous courseloads leading to better time management and study habits, etc
Honors courses at Fordham Prep offer a deeper look into the subject matter, advanced coursework, and the potential to boost GPA and strengthen college applications.
Honors classes are open to all students who qualify, including Freshman.
AP Courses
College Coursework in a Familiar Setting
Include skills gained and outcomes: i.e. more rigorous courseloads leading to better time management and study habits, potential to earn college credit, etc
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors who take AP classes experience college-level standards within the walls of Fordham Prep. Rigorous curriculum that requires time management, critical thinking, and scholarly writing set students up for success in college and beyond.
Fordham Prep currently offers 23 Advanced Placement courses across all academic disciplines. AP classes have the potential to earn college credit, boost GPA, and strengthen college applications.
Dual Enrollment Courses at
Fordham University
A Head-start in Academic Independence
Qualified Seniors can get a head start by taking a dual enrollment course at Fordham University for no additional tuition cost. Seniors participate in college classes with the same syllabi, coursework, and expectations as fellow college classmates.
With dual enrollment, students can earn both high school and college credit simultaneously, saving time and money for college-bound seniors.

AP Honor Roll: Platinum in 2025-26
For the third year in a row, Fordham Preparatory School has earned the highest honor on the 2025-26 AP School Honor Roll - a national recognition program. This award recognizes the Prep for developing an AP program that creates a college-going culture and gives students opportunities to earn college credit and to maximize their college outcomes.
Our school achieved all criteria to be listed on this year's AP School Honor Roll as a Platinum school.
