Departments & Curriculum
Fordham Prep's curriculum is designed to discover and hone each student’s individual talents and abilities.
Fordham Prep requires all students to begin a classical language in freshman year—typically Latin, with select students studying Ancient Greek—and offers the opportunity to pursue up to four years in one or both.
Student Development
Freshman
The Freshman Experience helps new students transition to high school and find their place at the Prep. Above all, freshmen learn how to learn at a new level — academically, socially, and personally.
Sophomore
Sophomore year is a season of discovery. Students explore the world beyond their own experience while uncovering who they are — their passions, strengths, and what truly inspires them to grow.
Junior
Junior year invites students to mindfully plan for what's next. With intention and self-awareness and care, they begin shaping the academic and personal path that will guide them toward college and beyond.
Senior
Senior year is about launching. As students prepare for the transition to college, they clarify who they intend to become — intellectually, socially, and spiritually — as they step into the world.
