New York State School District Information for Textbooks 2025-26
NY State school districts provide some funding for books. Each district has its own process for distributing book funds. Some districts provide only $58.25 per student. The Prep deals directly with these districts to purchase books that our students use. Some districts in Westchester purchase all of a student’s books with the exception of workbooks, digital books, and Religious Studies books. Some of these districts require forms from FP and/or parents. Parents should confirm with their district that they are up to date with any address questions, forms the district requires, and the policy for the return of books at the end of the year. Please remember that even if a district purchases “all” texts, there are items that districts will not purchase.
The Prep’s book list is included in the Principal's August email letter. Parents should be sure to check what books and/or supplies need to be purchased for their sons(s) before school starts.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. C. Lauber at lauberc@fordhamprep.org
