College Preparatory High School Serving Students From Port Chester, NY
Unlike other municipalities in Westchester County, Port Chester NY is a diverse, working-class community. Due to the large population of Hispanics in the village, the Roman Catholic Church plays a large role in the community. Fordham Preparatory School is a Jesuit Catholic High School located on the historic Rose Hill campus in the Bronx. We have many students from Port Chester, as well as a very diverse student body of 950. Ninety-six percent of the 79 faculty members have an advanced degree in their field, and the student: teacher ratio is a very low 12:1. There are 21 Advanced Placement courses available in all academic disciplines.
There’s plenty to enjoy outside of the classroom at Fordham Preparatory School as well. Students can join one of the 70 clubs and activities or try out for one of the 18 sports teams. Since we believe an education involves growing in faith too, our seniors perform 17,000 hours of community service each school year.
Naturally, many parents worry about affording tuition. Please note that Fordham Preparatory School offers both merit-based scholarships and needs-based financial aid to students.
