February 5 was National Signing Day for high school seniors across the country intending to play a sport at the collegiate level. Fordham Prep is proud to announce that 18 of our seniors have committed to play a collegiate sport next school year.
In front of family and friends, these student-athletes made their commitments official and posed for pictures with coaches. After the event, the group gathered for a small reception and toasted the success of these student athletes and their families. In his remarks, Mr. Anthony Kurtin, Director of Athletics said, “This is a moment you young men have been aspiring to since you were very young. Today is a celebration of your hard work and the support of your families. We are happy to honor you today. You will always be Rams!”
The Prep had five NCAA Division I signings: Eric Yost (Northeastern, baseball), Aidan Curry (Bucknell, baseball), Miguel Negrete (Bucknell, track & field), Niall Ryan (Wake Forest, track & field), Justin Jordaens (Manhattan College)
Eleven Rams will play at the NCAA Division III level: Stephon "Armani" Walter (Ursinus College, baseball), Luke Padian (Amherst, baseball), Jake Bernardi (Maritime College, baseball), Alex Russo (Colorado College, basketball), Mark Osime (Rochester Institute of Technology, basketball), Anthony Baez (Scranton University, track & field), Joseph Kobeck (Wesleyan University, football), Colin Coogan (Catholic University, golf), Will Rice (Connecticut College, lacrosse), Lewis Govan (Washington College, soccer), Evan Barr (Colby College, swimming).
