Excitement continues to build for the 100th edition of the Turkey Bowl between the Fordham Prep Rams and the Xavier Knights to be held at 10am on Thanksgiving morning at Moglia Stadium at Jack Coffey Field on the historic Rose Hill Campus of Fordham University. Today, Fordham Prep is thrilled to announce that the game will air live on YES Network and the YES App so that all who are not able to attend in person can watch this historic event.
Bruce Beck, Emmy Award-winning broadcaster of NBC 4 New York and longtime MC of the Prep’s annual IGNITE gala, will announce the game alongside NYC-area high school sports commentator Mike Quick. The Prep’s own Marty Robertson ‘24 and Brogan DiCerto ‘24 of Xavier will be the game’s sideline reporters.
“The Turkey Bowl is such a special day for our student-athletes and both the Fordham Prep and Xavier communities. We are thrilled to share this experience, on YES, with our alumni and football fans across the country. I know the Rams and the Knights are ready to put on a great show,” said Sal Annunziata ‘11, Fordham Prep’s Director of Athletics.
This year’s Turkey Bowl will commemorate a century of spirited competition amongst two of the oldest Jesuit schools in the country as they meet for the 100th time on the gridiron.
“Nothing is more important to us than our Catholic Jesuit mission,” said Anthony Day, President of Fordham Prep. “That we can celebrate our shared mission each year with our brothers at Xavier on our national day of Thanksgiving makes it extra special. The fact that YES will ensure that alumni of both schools in the area and around the country will have access to this historic event is the icing on the cake.”
The game will be available to all subscribers of the YES Network and all registered YES App users.
