Jim Murphy '09 - Head Coach of the Varsity Ice Hockey program.

Fordham Prep is proud to announce the appointment of Jim Murphy '09 as the new Head Coach of the Varsity Ice Hockey program.

Coach Murphy brings a diverse, well-rounded background to the role, with experience as both a high-level player and a dedicated coach.  Having competed for several top youth and junior hockey programs in the region, he understands what it takes to be successful both on and off the ice.

Murphy has spent the past four years coaching with the Pelham Youth Hockey Association at the 14U AAU level and holds a level 4 USA Hockey certification.  In the upcoming season, he will also serve as head coach of the 16U AA Tournament bound team and as an assistant coach for the 16u/18u program.

A proud member of the Fordham Prep Class of 2009, Murphy was a three-year member of the varsity hockey program, making his return to Rose Hill especially meaningful.

"I am thrilled to be back at Fordham Prep, and to lead the Hockey Program is an honor," Said Murphy.  "I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity and cannot wait to get started."
