Mount Vernon, NY lies at the southern end of Westchester County. Fordham Preparatory School is a Jesuit Catholic High School on the historic Rose Hill campus adjacent to Fordham University in the Bronx. Established in 1841, Fordham Preparatory School helps to give young men Jesuit Catholic preparation for college and for life. While we strongly value the past and our founding principles, we don’t forget that the future matters too. We are a member of the Jesuit Schools Network and the New York State Association of Independent Schools.
Fordham Preparatory School has a strong reputation both academically and athletically. Academically, 96 percent of our faculty have an advanced degree in their field, and Advanced Placement Courses are available in 21 different subjects. The teacher: student ratio is a very low 12:1. Athletically, there are 41 teams in 18 different sports to try your hand at. Finally, there are more than 60 clubs and activities.
