CHSAA City Champs - 5/26-7 - St. John's & iona Prep
 - Conrad Dalton ties CHSAA Freshman HJ Record, places 2nd  with incredible 6'2" effort! ties CHSAA Freshman HJ Record, places 2nd  with incredible 6'2" effort!
 - Steve Naclerio 171'4" - Javelin Silver, 3rd All time Fordham Prep!  Crazy Kevin Phipps 141'3"!!
- Vaulters: Geraghty 2nd with 13'0", O'Dwyer 12'6" for 5th and Soph School Record!  Clarke and Pond hit 12'0" for 1st time!
- 4x400: 3:25.0 in trials!, earn 4th place!
- Junior Idris Payne: 1:58.6! Senior Cowan 2:01.4!

NY Sectional Champs - 5/20
Raguso is 3200m Champion, as are Bailey, Pabon, Flucus and Awofeso in the 400m Relay.   Dalton takes the HJ, MacMahon the PV, Emenike the 100 and Fernandez, Kantha, Palmer and Egan are 4x800m Relay Champs.  Varsity meet to continue at Cities 5/27 due to rain.

Cross Country Meeting, Wednesday, May 24th, activities period in room 225.  All distance AND sprinters and vaulters must attend.

CHSAA Frosh & Soph Champs:
Sophs get 3rd, Frosh 4th as 9 City Championship Gold Medals are won!
Freshman Obaro Emenike named meet MVP for dominating performance!  His 11.2 100m and 23.3 200m wins are new school freshmen records! Joe Flucus wins Soph 400m crown (52.2), Soph 4x800 of Mike Fazio, Olusola Olaleye, Zubin Mehta and Sam Pond shock league with 8:36 victory, and Colin O'Dwyer and Gavin McMahon sweep Soph & Frosh Pole Vault!  Conrad Dalton 2nd in Frosh HJ (5'8") and 400m (53.4).
Sophs took 3rd place, Frosh took 4th out of 33 teams!

Penn Relay Medals!
4x400 3rd of 16 in their heat at Penn!  3:31.37!  
Awofeso survives rough start: 55.2, Payne and Bailey bring the stick into 6th with 52.9 legs, and Senior Mark Porcaro passes 3 (and nearly 4) to get the bronze :49.9!
4x100 46.05, 5th of 9 in heat.  Check it out!

Soph Sectional Champs - Tue, May 2
2nd place with only 14 runners!
Joe Flucus #2 All time Prep Sophs with 23.2 200m win!  Sam Pond 2nd in 800 with 2:09.8!  Will Heitmann leads 1-4 sweep of vault!  4x200 and 4x800 win gold!   Rupert Pond 2nd in 400IH, Victor Sims 3rd in 100, Nani 4th in 400 and LeVoci 4th in Mile!

Naclerio wins Javelin, Binns takes Frosh Shot, 2PRs for Phipps, PRs for most tossers.

Super Splits at Relay Carnival!

Mark Porcaro splits fastest 400 in 4 years: 48.9!  Dave Bailey debuts in 51.9!  4x200 lowers season best to 1:32.4!  Super throws for Phipps (122' Jav, 115' Disc), Sangobowale (120'8" Disc) and Binns (Frosh record 105' Disc).  PV rolls as usual: Geraghty 13' Gold, O'Dwyer 12', Pond 11'6". 4/20: Relay Carnival Results  - Team results coming soon.

73rd Annual CHSAA Champs: Steve Piacente is State Champs-bound with 12' silver in PV! Colin O'Dwyer 4th in School Soph record 12'0", Adrian Clarke 11'6 for 5th!  4x400 shocks with 4th place medals!  Payne 52.1, Awofeso & Flucus 52.2, Porcaro 50.5!  Nick Raguso 9:52 3200m for 4th place!  Frosh 4x200m shatters school Frosh record (Emenike 24.3, Fernandez 25.4, Schram 26.2, Dalton 24.5)!  Thanks to Jim DeRienzo '75 (Meet MVP only 25 years earlier) for dropping by and lending support!

43rd Annual Jesuit Champs: Prep wins 11th straight in dominating fashion--shot putters sweep, high jumpers excel, relays sparkle. Congrats to all!  Results to come!

Mayor's Trophy Meet: Sean Geraghty, Steve Piacente and Adrian Clarke go 1-2-3!  Rupert Pond joins the fun as the Prep takes 4 of 6 PV medals!

Ridgewood Invitational: Sean Geraghty goes 13 Feet! Garners 6th in tough comp!  Idris Payne cracks All time list with 52.7 400m, and Mike Forman runs 24 sec PR with 11:21 3200m!

Frosh/Soph Cities: Prep Crowns 4 City Champions!  Jaime Binns pulls out shocking, dramatic last throw win in Frosh Shot Put!  Gavin McMahon takes Pole Vault crown!  Conrad Dalton takes the Frosh High Jump!  Colin O'Dwyer is Soph PV King!  Jose Fernandez breaks school record in Frosh 600m!

Dramatic half-point victory by the Frosh over LaSalle led by winners Obaro Emenike (MVP), Pablo Romero, Conrad Dalton, Gavin McMahon and many others!  Congrats to the Frosh Sectional Champions!
