Spring 2007
Joe Altenau '04 was named Team MVP for George Washington University and was chosen to repeat as captain for the '07-'08 season
And he is still .1 faster than his brother on the All-Time list......Congrats!


Conrad Dalton '03
- Northeastern - Conrad wins the 500m Run over runners from 32 colleges at the prestigious New England Championships in a blistering 1:02.99....just missing the school record.

Jose Fernandez '03 - Northeastern - has been a fixture on the Northeastern 4x400 this winter
Sean Egan '03 - Bucknell - has run 15:27 for 5K this season
Darren Traynor '05 - Bucknell - has pole vaulted 13'9" this season
Brian McCabe '04 - American University - ran on his 3rd consecutive Millrose Championship 4x800 this season (and, of course, his 5th overall). Won the 1000m and 4x800m at Patriot League champs and tossed in a 4:09 flat track mile !

Named Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week!

Competing at the Lafayette-Rider Invitational on Feb. 9, Doherty finished second out of 38 competitors in the 500m run with a time of 1:04.99...qualified for the IC4A Championships.

Jim Lundy '05 - Holy Cross - had run 2:01.45 for the 800m this season

The Prep can boast no fewer than 4 alums that lead or are among the top 7 on their Div. I Varsity XC teams!   This weekend, Junior Joe Altenau '04 (photo, left) led George Washington University to 9th place at the William & Mary Invite with a personal best 26:18 for 8K (approx 5 miles).    Brian McCabe '04 was 7th scorer for the 29th-ranked American U team out at the Bill Dellinger Invite in Oregon,  running 25:42 for 8K.  Gian Caccia '04 led the Loyola squad to 8th place at the Iona Invite on the VCP 5 mile course, racing to a time of 25:49.   Sean Connolly '06 continues to improve for the Holy Cross squad, running 29:07 for 4.97 miles.

Gian Caccia '04 was the top finisher for the Loyola MD team at the Navy Invitational in Annapolis, MD in an amazing 25:50 for the 8K (about 5 miles) course.  Gian never averaged better than 6 min/mile for the 2.5 mile high school course, yet averaged 5:10 for 5 miles yesterday!  Brian McCabe '04 was 6th finisher for the winning American University team, which has earned a pre-season national ranking.  Sean Egan '03 served as 5th man on the 3rd place Bucknell squad at the Lock Haven Invite, running 33:34 for 10K.  Nick Jammet '03 is a Senior Sports writer for the Georgetown Hoya.   Ricky Schramm '03 is a co-captain of the Georgetown Soccer team.

Great things afoot this fall. 
Sean Egan '03 was #5 finisher on the very talented and deep Bucknell team at their Bison Opener; 14:59 for 5K; younger brother Terrence '06 finished 8th in his first race for the nationally ranked Notre Dame team; Joe Altenau '04 was 2nd finisher for George Washington at the Towson Invite; Jim Lundy '05 and Sean Connolly '06   finished in the top ten for Holy Cross each of the last two weekends; there are many more runners we'll try to track this fall!

Big doings on opening weekend!!  Meet Results
Northeastern quartet racks up 6 gold medals in indoor opener!  Idris Payne '01 captures 400m in 48.18, Obaro Emenike '03 blazes to 6.46 55m win and 22.75 200m silver, Jose Fernandez '03 wins the 800 in 1:57.78, and Conrad Dalton '03 is 4th in the 500m in 1:06.09!  Payne, Dalton and Fernandez combine to win 4x400!  Also, Tuft's' Adrian Clarke '00 clears 12'6 in the PV, and Will Heitmann '02 places in the hurdles and 200m!
At the Cornell Relays, Joe Flucus '02 won the 200m in 22.90!  (Will there be a Fordham Prep alum showdown at the Conference champs?)
At the Bucknell opener in Lewisburg, PA, Sean Egan '03 ran the 3000m in a PR 9:15!
