get 2nd at Guilderland!
Sophs making big strides!
September 20, 1997
The Prep Varsity met their first big time
opponents this week and rose to the challenge. Taking 2nd out of
19 teams, the Varsity 7 have only lost to one team--Bishop Ford
of Brooklyn--a team that must be caught in order to make States.
Sophs Nick Raguso and Steve Piacente ran fine races for "1st
timers" at VCP. 14
medals and 7
T-shirts were won.

Cross Country Notes
- The MIP Award (Most Improved Performer) goes to
the runner who exhibits the greatest improvement on his personal
record. This week, the Freshmen get recognition for their fine
improvements, exemplified by the tremendous progress of Craig
Wood--this week's MIP.
