1996 PENN RELAYS
CHAMPIONS!!!
The biggest and most famous track
meet in the world, the Penn Relays, became the latest venue for the Prep to win
gold medals this year. The 1600 meter relay of Eric Sands, Joe Wiggins, Rodger
Emmanuel, and Rob Weitzman easily won their heat for only the 4th
time in Prep history. Special congratulations to Captain Weitzman who has
represented the Prep at the Relays for four years, and capped his Penn Relays
career with an appropriate handshake from the meet’s benefactor, Bill Cosby.

Notes
- Senior Eric Sands improved not only his time, but his approach to a difficult race—the 400. That change gave him a PR, and his team the lead—for good. Congrats to the MIP.
