On a near-perfect day at Randall’s Island (a rare day indeed), the Fordham Track team moved up to the oversized oval admirably. The Varsity set the stage for a great outdoor season with numerous PRs while the underclassmen helped collect 6 medals at the 12th Annual Bishop Ford Relays.

Track Notes

- Never has there been a year when so many school records have fallen. This weekend was no different when Freshman Gordon Lewis set the Freshman Outdoor triple jump mark (Steve Yoon’s indoor mark is safe with a measure of 37’0.5”) deserving of MIP. On the running side, Andy Hinman had a great practice week and it showed in his pair of 2:14s. Other big 800 PRs came from Smith, Canale, and O’Dea; some fine 54-second 400s courtesy Messrs, Casey, Bienkowski, and Weitzman.
