Track Notes

-         Good weekends make for tough MIP selections. But for two blistering PRs and a very close second in the 400 meter dash, freshman Rob Wietzman has a duly earned MIP award.

-         Other eye-opening improvements came from Freshman Cordosa, Irizarry, Pinson, Nielson (2), and Mattiace, while Basil, Cocheekaran, and emmet Murphy continued to shave pieces off their 400 times. Also the Millrose trials brought significant improvements from Cavanaugh, Guerrero, Verlezza, Chin, and Fitzsimmons

-         Special mention must go to two of the toughest runners among the frosh ranks. Dan Dengler ran the fastest indoor 3200 Run for a Fordham freshman in 8 years, while Marcello Lippiello again proved that new events don’t scare him.

-         Finally unless a search through the annals reveals otherwise, Steven Yoon set a new freshman indoor school record for the triple jump with his gargantuan leap of 35’8.5”.  Congratulations
