Cross Country Newsletter  ’92                                                    September 12, 1992

On Saturday, September 12th, the Fordham Cross Country Team ended a successful pre-season with some strong performances in a triangular meet at the most famous course in the Northeast – Van Cortlandt Park.  The Varsity showed their early-season dominance by taking first, while the Freshmen placed a strong second in their first competition.  It seems quite obvious that the Rams are to be a feared and respected force in the CHSAA this fall.

-  The Most Improved Performance Award (MIP) is given weekly by this newsletter to the runner who makes the most significant improvement on his personal best time.  Juniors Gerry Guerrero and John Verlezza have shown the value of hard work by catapulting themselves onto the Varsity “A” Team with their fine ’92 debuts.
