Cross Country Newsletter ’91 October 16-19, 1991

With the Championship portion of the season upon us, the Prep begins to show how powerful they can be as a team. A 2^nd place finish at the Sophomore Sectionals, 3^rd at the Fordham Prep Frosh Relays, and 3^rd at the Eastern States Championship yielded 46 medals and much hope for the upcoming Sectional Champs

XC Notes

- As the only team member to clock two PRs this week, Sophmore Jason Smith picks up his second MIP of the season. Also showing drastic improvement were Freshmen Jermaine Luke and Robert Navarro in the Frosh Relays, Soph Pete Canale at the Soph Sectionals and Junior Travis Bowens became the 11^th man this season under the 16 minute barrier.

- With all three levels placing in their respective races this week, there’s no reason to doubt our prospects at the upcoming Sectional Champs. The Varsity, JV, and Freshman titles are all within our grasp
