            The many months of hard work began to pay off this weekend in the form of some greatly reduced personal bests.  With three major championships left, the Prep stands ready to peak in the coming weeks.  The Sophomore 3200 Meter Relay took home 4 medals en route to the Prep’s fastest Soph 2MR time in twenty years.

Track Notes

-         For the sheer magnitude of their improvement this weekend, Soph’s Pete Canale and Jim Purekal ear MIP honors.  However, some great double-PR performances were turned in by Andy Hinman, Eliot Lopez, John Verlezza, and Charon Darris.  Fine races were also run by O’Dea, Geurerro, Fitz, Cosgrove, Casey and Rosado.

-         Coming Up:      Sat. May 16 – Sectional Championships – Randalls All Sophs and up meet at Prep at 8:15am

-         Tues. May 19 – Eagles Invitational – Randall’s Vars. Leaves Prep at 1:15pm (after 6th)

-         Sat. May 23 – CHSAA City Championships – St. John’s Departing time TBA

 

***The 1992 Cross Country Track Dinner will be held on Tuesday June 9th at 6:30pm in the Prep Commons.  The cost will be $9.00 per person.  A formal letter will be forthcoming.***
