Indoor Track Newsletter March 15, 1992

As a fitting end to a dream indoor season, five runners brought the Prep to the “big time”, including the school’s first medals at the Indoor State Championships, and our first representation at the National Indoor Champs. Congratulations and thanks to these fine athletes.

The close of the 1992 Indoor Season marked another milestone: 301 medals were won- setting a new season record for the Prep.

Track Notes

-For his consistent performances against some of the best competition you can find, the season-ending MIP award goes to Junior Rey Mendez, whom we’d like to congratulate for proving to be one of the best milers in the nation. Also, Senior Mike Fink once again shed blood for us with his gutsy 2:01 leadoff leg. We see only great things for the Spring.

The meet will be held at Macooms Dam Park (161^st and River Ave. near Yankee Stadium) and we should be back at the Prep by 12:30pm
