Spring Track Newsletter April 23-27, 1991

In one of the more productive weeks of the season, the Fordham Track Team collected 37 medals at three meets. The team clinched their third straight silver place in the Sectional weight division championships, ran a 15-year 3200 relay PR at the Penn Relays, and dominated the PSAL development meet at Randall’s Island on Saturday.

Track Notes

-Certainly two of the most impressive PR’s of the season came on Saturday at Randall’s Island when Junior Carlos Nunez lowered his 800 PR by 11 seconds and when junior Jason Cook hit two PR’s in the throws – thus earning them MIP.

-Coming Up: Friday 5/3 – TEAM MEETING – Gym – 2:50 pm- 3:15 pm

Sunday 5/5 – Jesuit Championships – Mt. St. Michael

Field Events – 10:30 am

ALL Runners – 12:30 pm

*NB All runners must report to Mount on their own as no vans will be available on Sunday. Also, there will be Sunday Mass offered after the field events (about 12 noon) bring your folks. Let them cheer us on to our first championship since 1978.

Monday 5/6 – Sectional Frosh/Soph Championships – Mount

Vans leave at 2:45 pm.
