PR= Personal Record
- This weekend’s MIP was put in by Dave Deasy of Junior Year. Dave cut his personal best over the VCP course by 24 seconds in his only second race this year. Other notable drops in time were made by Captain Kevin Neenan, soph Matt George, and frosh Domingo Cuevas, Tim Reidy, and Daryl Alston. (MIP = Most Improved Performance)
- Fordham’s first XC road trip in two years yielded encouraging signs, Rochester’s 3 mile course could not compare with the hills of VCP, but the Fordham contingent, led by captain Mike Chang, offered a strong showing by one of only two NYC schools represented. We look for this trip to be paying dividends during the next two weeks.
- Congrats to Sophs Claude Rossignol and Mike Fink, who continue to dominate this year’s CHSAA Sophomore class. By taking 1st and 2nd in Friday’s Iona Meet, this potent duo has not finished lower than 5th in any race this year – with each race having at least 65 participants. The top 5 sophs are rounded out by Brian Etheridge, Gerry Sullivan, and James Altomare, all of whom will be instrumental in capturing the Sophomore Sectional crown on October 18th.
- Coming up: Friday the 13th will be bringing luck to the JV at the All Hallows Invitational. The top 7 Varsity, Sophomores, and Frosh will compete in the Manhattan College Invitational On Saturday.
