            At the New York Sectional Championships, Fordham Prep placed 5th with 23 points-the team’s highest point total in 12 years.  Some astonishing Varsity and underclass performances hauled in 8 medals.

Track Notes

-         As their distinguished tenures near their end, the Fordham Track seniors refuse to fade away.  All three competing seniors turned in PR’s this weekend to earn MIP.  Congrats to captains Mike Chang, Jose Garcia, and Anthony Ubinas.

-         Many runners shone in first time evens.  Mike Fink and Rey Mendez in the grueling 3000 Steeple, Dave Crespo and Ed Rivera in the Mile, and Vin Romano in the 800.

-         Coming up:    Tues. 5/22 – Eagles Invitational – designated runners

      Van leaves at 1:00pm

                                    Sat. 5/26  - Varsity City Championships – all runners

                                                            Van Leaves at 9:45am

                                    Wed 5/30 – End of season pizza extravaganza

                                                            $2 each +return uniforms

                                                            Room to be determined – 3pm

                                    Fri. 6/8 – Annual Track/Cross Country Dinner
