In one of the Prep’s best City Championship outings in years, the Track team’s Frosh and Soph stars collected 6 medals at the 1990 CHSAA Intersectional Championships. With the Varsity Sprint Medley tossing in 4 of their own hard earned prizes, the team’s medal count stands at 208 for the Spring - 540 for the entire year! Congrats to our Championship medallists.

-Although there were some Herculean performances this week-end, the Most Improved Performer was freshman Daryl Alston. His tenacity throughout the grueling heats and finals of the 100 meters paid off. Daryl claimed the number 5 spot in the finals of the city championships-not an easy task. Mr. Alston also kicked in a 200 m PR to boot.
The efforts of City Champion Tom Gilbride are not to be overlooked. Having started just 3 months ago, winning the city championships is a feat defying the longest of odds.
To round out a successful afternoon, perennial stars Mike Fink, Brian Etheridge and Jim Altomare hit some impressive PR’s in their events.
