Conrad Dalton leads off with flu-hindered 2:11.1

Brian McCabe runs stirring 2nd leg of 1:57.8, catching all 5 runners ahead of him

Greg Sans runs strong 2:04.2 leg

Jose Fernandez anchors in crushing 1:57.9

Going in as defending champs and prohibitive favorites, the "best laid plans gang aft agley".  Conrad couldn't shake the flu and despite leading early, had little wind and struggled to even finish, handing off in last place, 40 meters back.  Then Brian McCabe, denied an invitation to the Millrose HS mile by a mere tenth of a second, garnered the night's greatest ovation for his remarkable attack on the leaders, bring the baton from last to first in a blistering 1:57.8.  Greg Sans, showing no signs of nerves in this, his first Millrose,  ran a 2:04.2 leg to hand off near leading St. Anthony's.  Then anchor Jose Fernandez simply did what he does best, and set a crushing pace that brought home the Prep's 2nd straight win here in 1:57.9.  Total Time: 8:11.06.  This gives the Prep 2 of 3 legs needed to permanently own the George Eastment Trophy for this event.  Thanks to the more than 140 Prep supporters in the stands!

CITY CHAMPS!
Taking their cues from the inspiring performance the night before, the Frosh left no doubt that they are willing to take up the challenge presented by their upperclassmen teammates: to keep this young dynasty rolling!
