The 2017 Fordham Prep Hall of Honor Induction Dinner will be held on Friday, November 17 in the Garden Terrace Room at the NY Botanical Garden.

Joseph Bastianich '85

Respected restaurateur, television personality; established the Bastianich & Friends Scholarship; father of two current Prep students, Miles '18 and Ethan '20.


Lidia Bastianich P '85

Respected restaurateur, television personality; established the Bastianich & Friends Scholarship with her son, Joseph; long-time supporter of the Mothers' Club; grandmother of two current Prep students, Miles '18 and Ethan '20.


Thomas Brennan Jr. '56

Former Prep trustee, prominent attorney for the Hearst Foundation and held major positions in the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick; a distinguished Prep football player; father of a Prep graduate, Thomas '91. RIP


Timothy J. Brosnan '76

Former Prep trustee and two-time Commencement speaker; Executive Chairman & CEO, PrimeSport; father of a Prep graduate, Kevin '12.


Brendan Dolan '82

Star athlete at the Prep, went on to a successful career in financial services; Brendan died in the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. RIP


John M. Geraghty '60

Former Prep trustee, five-time chairman of the HOH Nominating Committee; Viet Nam War hero and generous supporter of the Prep.


Kevin R. Hackett '67

Chairman of the Board of Trustees during the Leonard Theatre  project; generous supporter of the Prep.


Walter J. Higgins '31

A Prep trustee during the transition from Hughes Hall to Shea Hall; generous supporter of the Prep; the main Prep gynasium is named in his honor. RIP


Walter Kinsella, 1917

Distinguished New York actor on stage, radio and film, best known for his television roles from the 1940s to the 1960s. RIP


S. Jerome Martin

Retired long-time chairman of the Prep's English Department. 


Hon. Juan Tomas MacManus y Gonzalez, 1868, P 1900

International banker, executive in the copper, silver and railroad industries; senator in the Mexican government; father and grandfather of Prep graduates. RIP


William Hughes Mulligan Jr. '66

Respected attorney; generous supporter of the Prep; father of two Prep graduates, William '97 and Rory '02.


Michael Nash, SJ

Teacher and first Jesuit Prefect/Dean of Students at Fordham Prep; Civil War chaplain. RIP


Joseph P. Parkes, SJ


President of Fordham Prep from August of 1996 to August 2004; revived the financial health of the school and increased endowment from $1 million to $10 million.


Fordham Prep Hall of Honor biographies are based primarily upon personal interviews as well as school documents and publications including the St. John's College Second Division Prefect of Discipline Diaries; the Fordham Prep Beacon, Athletic Councilman, Rampart and Ramview; the Fordham Monthly, Ram, and Maroon; and school catalogs from 19th and 20th centuries.  Additional documentation has also been provided by the Jesuit Archives in St. Louis, Missouri.
