Biltmore Tuxedo will be in the Hall of Honor on Thursday, March 16 and again on Tuesday, April 11 to measure seniors for their tuxedos. The tuxedo (white dinner jacket, black tuxedo pants, and maroon bow tie) is already paid for. You will be required to provide a plain white dress shirt (no tuxedo shirts) and black dress shoes.

Professional photographers will record all the graduates at graduation. A link will be provided for live streaming for those that cannot attend the ceremony. Additionally, the entire ceremony will be filmed, and the video will be posted on our website shortly after graduation.

The Senior/Alumni Breakfast will be held at the New York Botanical Garden’s Terrace Room on Wednesday, April 26. Twenty to thirty distinguished alumni will be present and serve as hosts to the graduation class. School dress (jacket and tie) is required and attendance is mandatory. Seniors should arrive no later than 8:15 am. The breakfast begins at 8:30 am sharp. Due to space limitations, this event is for Prep seniors only; it does not include other family members. Graduation tickets/announcements (a packet of four) will be distributed at the end of the breakfast.
SENIOR AWARDS NIGHT: LITURGY AND AWARDS PRESENTATIONS
The Senior Liturgy and Awards Presentations will take place on Monday, May 22. Mass will begin at 5:30 pm in the University Church and will be followed by an awards assembly in the Leonard Theatre. Attendance is mandatory for all seniors. The Senior Awards Night is the ceremony when we bestow honors and recognize the accomplishments of the senior class. The awards ceremony concludes by 8 pm. A light reception of coffee and cookies will follow the ceremony.
SENIOR FIELD DAY AND BARBECUE
The field day and barbecue will take place from 10 am to 2 pm on Tuesday, May 23. Dress is casual.
The Senior Prom will be held at Glen Island Harbour Club on Thursday, May 25. Details on our website can be found here.
All seniors must assemble in the Commons for rehearsal at 9:30 am on Wednesday, May 31. Dress is casual. Rehearsal ends at about 12 pm. Seniors will pick up their tuxedos after rehearsal.
The graduation commencement ceremony is held in Fordham University’s Rose Hill Gym. It will begin at 4:30 pm sharp on Wednesday, May 31. The ceremony lasts approximately 90 minutes.
Seniors must report to the Prep in tuxedos by 3:45 pm. Please remind your guests that despite the gymnasium setting, this is the graduation ceremony of one of the most prestigious metropolitan area high schools. Appropriate dress and behavior is expected. Father and grandfather alums who will be taking photographs with a graduating senior, should be at the Prep no later than 3:30 pm. Diplomas will be available for pick up in the lobby of Fordham University’s McGinley Center immediately following the graduation.
Tuxedos should be returned on hangers to the theater stage no later than the day after graduation, Thursday, June 1.

1. When are students measured for their tuxedoes?
a. Biltmore Tuxedo has been contracted to supply the tuxedos and measure students at Fordham Prep on the following days: Thursday, March 16 and Friday, April 11.

2. Is my tuxedo paid for?
Your son’s tuxedo is already paid for, and consists of a white dinner jacket, black tuxedo pants and maroon bow tie. You will be required to provide a plain white dress shirt (no tuxedo shirts) and black dress shoes to complete the dress for graduation.
3. When do I pick up my tuxedo?
Tuxedos are picked up at Fordham Prep after the graduation rehearsal.
4. When do I return the tuxedo?
Tuxedos should be returned on hangars to the theater no later than Thursday, June 1. Please do not remove the labels found inside so you can be credited with returning your tuxedo. There is a $150 charge for unreturned tuxedos.
5. When is rehearsal?
Rehearsal is conducted on the morning of graduation, Wednesday, May 31 at 9:30 am. Seniors should assemble in the Commons. Rehearsal is generally over by 12 noon. Dress is casual.
6. When is the graduation ceremony?
Graduation for the Class of 2017 is Wednesday, May 31 at 4:30 pm at Fordham University’s Rose Hill Gym. Doors open at 3:15 pm.
7. How long is the graduation ceremony?
The graduation ceremony is approximately 90 minutes. Please allow time for egress from the gym, return to the parking garage, and time to exit the garage when making plans for after the graduation ceremony.
8. How many tickets will I receive for the graduation?
a. Tickets/announcements (a packet of four) will be distributed at the end of the Senior/Alumni Breakfast on Wednesday, April 26.
b. Extra tickets should be returned to Mrs. O’Halloran.
9. How do I request additional tickets?
a. Please do not request additional tickets until after April 26. Seating is limited. Graduation is primarily for family and we ask that you appropriately restrict tickets.
b. Tickets may be requested in writing from Mrs. O’Halloran at email@example.com.
10. Where is the graduation ceremony?
The graduation ceremony is held at Fordham University’s Rose Hill Gymnasium.
11. Is the graduation venue handicap accessible?
Yes, the Fordham University Rose Hill Gym is handicap accessible. If someone with a physical disability is accompanying your group to the ceremonies, enter the campus through the main entrance on Southern (Kazimiroff) Boulevard, across from the New York Botanical Garden. Please inform the guard at the entrance, and you will be directed to the parking garage where there will be a golf cart tram station. The trams can hold a foldable wheelchair. Reservations are not required for the trams, and all members of your party are welcome to ride the carts. People needing special assistance should be dropped off at the tram station while the rest of your group parks. Since parking and ceremony seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, we recommend that you arrive early.
12. Is there Handicapped seating?
Generally, handicapped seating is not available, but please contact Mrs. O’Halloran at firstname.lastname@example.org or 718-367-7500 ext. 203 if someone in your group requires handicapped seating.
13. Where can I park?
Parking is free at the Fordham University garage on the day of the graduation. Golf carts will be available to transport the elderly or physically challenged guests from the parking garage to the gym. Cars will not be allowed on campus. Please note: the walk from the parking garage to the gym is about five to ten minutes. Please give yourself ample time to walk from the garage to the Rose Hill Gymnasium.
