Tuition, Scholarships & Financial Aid Information
Tuition
Tuition for the 2012-2013 academic year is $16,720. Books and supplies are not included. A $400 non-refundable deposit is deducted from the tuition.
The actual cost of a Fordham Prep education is over $18,132. The difference between the actual cost and tuition is made up through continual development efforts. Families with the means to do so are encouraged to consider funding the total cost of educating a student. At the heart of this request is the concern to keep tuition as low as possible and to ensure the character of Fordham Prep.
Academic Scholarships
The following merit-based scholarships are awarded to students entering the ninth grade with outstanding entrance exam scores and 8th-grade marks. Eligible students are invited for an interview and further testing with their acceptance notice.
-
Ignatius Scholarships: 3 full scholarships
-
Presidential Scholarships: 10 scholarships from $3,000 to $7,000
-
Loyola Scholarships: 15 scholarships of $2,000
Tuition Assistance
Fordham Prep's Board of Trustees sets aside funds each year for scholarships and financial aid for students with academic promise and demonstrated need. Last year the Prep provided over 2.6 million dollars in assistance. Students are not required to work in exchange for scholarships and financial aid.
