Dear Track and Field Alumnus:

Tempus Fugit! It has already been a year since the last Alumni/Track and Field Hall of Fame Dinner, and given the many successful projects and achievements by our alumni and current runners, no wonder time is upon us so quickly.

You are cordially invited to attend the Ninth Annual Track and Field Alumni Reunion and Hall of Fame Dinner on Saturday, May 1^st 2004 at the New Balance Armory Track & Field Center, home of the new National Track & Field Hall of Fame. Dress is semi-formal. The evening will begin with Mass at 6:00 pm in the new theatre at the Armory, followed by preprandials, dinner (catered by Coogan’s, co-owned by David Hunt ’67) and the induction ceremony. The cost will be $75 per person ($50 for 1994-2004 graduates and their guests) and alumni from all years are invited. The deadline for reservations is Monday, April 26, 2004.

James Scott ’44, Desmond Sugrue `70 and Bill Thierfelder ’76 will be honored as this year's inductees into the Track and Field Hall of Fame. Please join us in celebrating their contributions to Fordham Prep's rich running history.

In addition, the National Track & Field Hall of Fame, pioneered by our own Dr. Norbert Sander ’60, will kick off a new “local coaches” Hall of Fame by honoring the memory of Joe Fox, architect of the Prep Track & Field program and to a large degree, New York City High School Track and Field in general.
